Enabling or disabling the Periodic Assessment of Fluency feature

The Periodic Assessment of Fluency feature, which measures a student's oral reading fluency growth using passages independent from the Read Naturally Live curriculum, can be enabled or disabled in each student's Story Options.

To enable or disable the Periodic Assessment of Fluency for a student:

1. Open the Story Options page, either at the student's workstation or in the Staff Member Module.
   In the Student Module, Story Options are part of the Teacher menu.
   In the Staff Module, you can Change Story Options from the Student Activity page.
2. Select or deselect the Periodic Assessment of Fluency option.
   If the option is selected, Periodic Assessment of Fluency assessment windows will occur every 10 weeks throughout the school year. Alerts in the Read Naturally Live student module's header and on the Staff Member Module's Student Activity page will let teachers know when this assessment is available. 
3. Click Save or Save & Close.
