Read Naturally Live Hands-on Training and Strategy Workshop

​Read Live is a powerful tool for developing students’ fluency and phonics skills, supporting vocabulary, and promoting comprehension. To ensure you’re getting the most from Read Live, we have developed a new training opportunity that combines our Read Naturally Strategy workshop with instructor-led, hands-on training designed specifically for Read Live users.

Join us for this exciting new training opportunity to expand your understanding of the Read Naturally Strategy and receive practical, hands-on experience exploring all the powerful functionality of Read Live.

The Read Live Hands-on Training and Strategy Workshop is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) event. Each participant will need to have their own laptop computer. Note: Tablets (iPads, Androids, etc.) are not suitable for this training. Please refer to the information below to ensure your device meets the system requirements for this training.

  • 512 Kbps and faster (Dial-up connection is not supported.)

Audio including recorded timings

  • Ability to play audio (headphones preferred)
  • Recorded timings require a microphone used with a supported browser. (Internet Explorer 11 and iPad do not currently support recordings.)

  • To combine the research-based strategies of teacher modeling, repeated reading, and self-monitoring of progress to significantly improve fluency, support vocabulary, and promote comprehension in developing readers
  • How to enroll students in Read Live, assign licenses to students, and assign programs to students
  • How to place students in the appropriate series, level, and goal to begin working in Read Naturally Live
  • How to place students in the appropriate level, section, and goal to begin working in Word Warm-ups Live
  • The steps that students perform as they work through a story in Read Naturally Live
  • The steps that students perform as they work through an exercise in Word Warm-ups Live
  • The steps that students perform as they work through a story in One Minute Reader Live
  • Remedial tasks to assign when students do not pass a story or exercise
  • How to customize program options to maximize progress for each student in all programs within Read Live
  • How to monitor student progress with reports, and make adjustments when necessary
  • How to print parent letters and student awards to facilitate communication with students and parents
