I have used Read Naturally with students to address fluency goals. Students gain confidence and skills using this program.

This is my first year at the charter school I work with I E P students and I'm very happy with this program. My kids have improved so much from the beginning of the year until now and they have so much confidence that they participate more in class answering questions and wanting to read out loud. I push for the kids I work with to be on it everyday. I've seen great improvement.

I have seen an amazing amount of growth from my reading group this year. My students have learned to slow down their reading and focus on the quality of the words they are reading rather than trying to read enough words to pass the level as quickly as possible. I have one student who has increased his reading dramatically on testing. He went from a kindergarten reading level to a second grade reading level on state testing within a few months of starting the program. My students now look for context clues when reading any passage and are able to better sort out main idea and supporting details.

My intervention students use the program daily. They love it, and I love the reading gains they are making. Thanks to Read Live, our students can put all their developing skills together to practice everything from phonics and vocabulary to fluency and comprehension. Our entire Learning Disabilities Intervention team uses it and suggests it to others. What I think the students love the most about the program is watching their progress on the chart that shows their cold reads versus their hot reads after repeated practice. It motivates them to work hard and then feel success.

As an intervention teacher, I’ve been consistently impressed with the impact your Read Live program has had on my students. They are highly engaged during sessions, and the structure of the program keeps them motivated and focused.

Since implementing it, I’ve seen significant gains in fluency, reading comprehension, and written expression. The repeated reading and built-in comprehension checks provide the consistency and practice my students need, while also allowing for meaningful progress monitoring.

We started using Read Live with our first grade students in January, and the growth we've seen has been nothing short of amazing. The implementation of Read Live this year has been transformative for both my ELA and intervention students. My alternative high school students love the program. It’s easy to use and not baby looking so I get their buy in. Besides that we have seen growth in our intervention students that use the program.

Great program! The resistant readers are more willing to use Read Live, since the stories are chosen by them, short and they get quick results/input on their progress. We are able to use the program for intervention, as well as reading practice for students at grade level.

I was skeptical about using this program at first thinking it would be another program to push on the students. I love that the students had independence to pick a story of interest. They also could independently talk to the computer and get feedback. The teacher features to turn certain features on and off to differentiate was awesome. I no longer work at the school that I used this program with but I wish I could use this with my current title 1 students and tutoring students. I don't have a personal budget to pay for it.

Read Live has made noticeable improvements for struggling readers, particularly in areas such as vocabulary development, fluency, reading comprehension, and written expression. In terms of preparation for high-stakes assessments, such as the STAAR test for grades 3rd through 5th, Read Live has proven to be a useful tool. It helps students develop essential reading skills and offers a solid foundation for the type of reading required in the assessment. Many students have found it helpful for honing their test-taking strategies and boosting their confidence for the exam.

However, it would be highly beneficial if the platform could integrate speech-to-text functionality. Several of our students rely on this accommodation to support their learning process, and its inclusion could further improve accessibility and allow these students to engage more fully with the content. This would enhance their ability to respond to reading exercises and assessments more effectively, making Read Live even more inclusive.

Overall, Read Live has been a valuable tool for students in grades 1st through 5th, and adding speech-to-text functionality could make it even more accessible and beneficial to a wider range of learners.

A Masterpiece book for Phonics.

My school has been using Read Live for 2 years now. We are seeing so much progress for our struggling readers in our 3rd - 6th grade classes! We are also able to use it for our primary advanced students during independent work stations. It is such a good tool that builds in fluency training, comprehension practice, and also vocabulary. Students are excited about the reading passages, and motivated by that blue and red bar graph! One of the best things I've seen happening is all of the data chats after a student's hot read. We have an individual reading conference that is targeted toward their specific needs. We are able to set goals for the next story, or do a small mini lesson for them to revisit their comprehension questions. The teacher dashboard is so easy to use, with lots of options to tailor make the students' reading experience.

I LOVE Read Naturally Live and Word Warm Ups!!! I use these with my 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. The nonfiction passages build background knowledge and vocabulary while working on fluency. I have had students’ families take vacations to places they learned about through RN! I appreciate how, as a teacher, I can make adjustments to the level and goals for each student. After the students work through the different steps of a story, I am able to conference with each student, listen to them read their story, and then talk about their answers to the comprehension questions. Students are so proud to see their progress in the charts provided.
This program is very easy to use, is research-based, and adaptable to each student’s needs. The support is fantastic! I can print letters and step-by-step guides to inform parents how the program works. Throughout the year, I can send home summary or detailed reports about their child’s progress. I am so appreciative that my school provides this resource for my students! It has truly made a difference!

As a veteran reading specialist of 21 years I can’t imagine doing my job without Read Live. I was recently at a conference where other reading teachers were expressing frustration with struggling to keep up on progress monitoring every two weeks. They had a hard time administering the assessments and entering/displaying the data. I am happy to say I couldn’t relate at all, thanks to Read Live! I always have fresh data and it’s never, ever a hassle thanks to RL:)

For students who are already automatic with grapheme/phoneme connections, and need more practice reading smoothly this product does a nice job.

Read Naturally Live is an excellent online reading program to build phonics skills and fluency ability in students. I use it with my students with reading disabilities and have seen outstanding growth in reading achievement with all learners. The students love reading non-fiction stories and learning new things while reading. They also enjoy learning vocabulary words while waiting for a teacher to help them pass the story. I highly recommend using Read Naturally Live to support reading achievement.

Michelle was very helpful, but I haven't used it with any students yet, so I can't comment on much. I'm looking forward to using it.

Read Live has been a great resource for our students to build on their comprehension and fluency skills. The students love the independent aspect of working on their own and at their own pace. The stories are interesting for them to read and also hold their attention.

Read Live is a comprehensive reading program that helps students develop vocabulary, fluency, reading comprehension and written expression while keeping them motivated to reach their goals. The stories are interesting and keep students engaged. You can adjust your student's reading level, the amount of practices they may need to reach their fluency goal and the time they have to complete their retell. Another excellent feature is that the program includes Read Live in Spanish!! That is a big plus for my students who are learning in a DUAL language program. Last, but not least, I love using the detail reports to discuss with students what they are doing well and where they can improve.

Read Live is the solution we've been searching for to deliver differentiated, targeted instruction. It encompasses all the essential components for effective literacy teaching. My students are making noticeable progress and gaining more confidence in their reading.

Read Live is one of the few resources I’ve tried and felt my district definitely needs to invest in it. With so many students coming in with dyslexia diagnosis, Read Live has been my support to help target those deficits in phonics and fluency, I’ve videoed one of my students reading a fluency passage and sent it to my SPED Director. She immediately asked how many seats we need. I am so excited we are purchasing seats for the upcoming year, and I am so eager to see how much growth our students will show after using it with fidelity. I’ve seen much growth in the one student I’ve used it with faithfully. He is now able to work the program on his own as I work with other students. He’s taking ownership of his own learning which is so important for students. I love it! I just love it!

Read Live has given our students confidence! They enjoy reading stories, with the goal of earning blue ribbons for a job that went above and beyond. We pass out certificates to our students when they get blue ribbons, so parents know their child has excelled in their reading. We like how there are stories, as well as phonics levels, so we can place students where they learn best.

Read Live has really helped my students with their reading fluency and comprehension skills. They love using the program and it has helped them build confidence. I love that the students can work independently in the One-minute reader and how the programs can be individualized to meet each child's specific learning needs.

I have used Read Naturally Live for Special Education Reading for over five years. It has been beneficial for multi grade levels and a diverse set of reading abilities. Students show progress over the years they use it. I even pass on their logins and have parents use it with the students at home. Students show progress, in Vocabulary, comprehension and fluency skills.
I enjoy that it is individualized for the student for their IEPs to track their growth.

I am new to the Read Live program, and I must say, I never anticipated that such a program existed. It has been incredibly helpful in assisting our readers in developing the fluency they need. The stories available are engaging and offer a wealth of learning opportunities. Witnessing my students make progress in their reading journey is truly priceless. Michele Calvin has provided our school with exceptional support! My initial set-up meeting could have been extremely complicated since we were attempting to merge numerous trial accounts into one site license account. She gave me the answers I needed and also gave my information to others that could help with additional tech. support. I explained what my ideal training would look like for our school and she went out of her way to deliver it. We just completed her training today, and I have heard numerous comments about how valuable it was. Not only did she give our staff clear practical information on how to use Read Naturally with fidelity, she was also able to answer our specific questions. I've been using Read Live for three years as part of my small reading intervention groups, working with 1st through 4th graders on automaticity. While I do see improvements in my students and can confirm that the program is effective, I have to be honest—it's painfully boring.

In all my time using Read Live, I’ve had maybe two students who actually enjoyed it. The material is dry, and there’s very little content that engages the 6-10-year-olds I work with. Every day, I dread having to tell my students, "It's time for Read Live again," because I know they’ll groan in response. They do it because I require it, not because they’re excited to learn.

Does the program work? Yes, and I applaud it for that. But learning should be more than just effective—it should be engaging, too. If Read Live could incorporate more exciting, high-interest stories and interactive elements, it could make a world of difference. Right now, it’s just not a fun way to learn. If they figure out a way to do for reading what Prodigy did for math (make it fun & exciting) , I'll change this to 5 stars!

I love Read Live! In the past, I have utilized Read Live before school to support students during our COVID Learning Loss morning tutoring. I have also utilized Read Live during Mustang U (our school's RTI Time). Currently, I utilize Read Live in my roles as Instructional Coach, Intervention Teacher, and SST Coordinator. The components of Read Live seamlessly work together to support the Science of Reading, as well as strategies to improve reading, comprehension, and writing for all students. Our Special Education/SAI Department incorporates Read Live into their SAI Sessions with students to assist students in strengthening their current reading abilities and work towards their IEP Goals. In my Intervention Classes, I have seen many students gain great ground (grade levels) in Reading and no long have the need to attend Intervention. The Read Live Data that I gather is helpful in writing SSTs and tracking student progress. I find Read Live to be an invaluable component of many areas of instruction at our school. Thank you!

I am huge fan of Read Naturally! I have used Read Naturally/Read Live for 16 years and cannot emphasize enough what a wonderful program it is for reading instruction for special needs students. The progress that made in my Resource Room is remarkable! Year after year, my students buy-in to Read Naturally because they feel successful in an area that they have traditionally struggled with for years. They become self-motivated to become stronger readers because they sense their own learning, in some cases for the first time ever. It is truly wonderful to witness! There are so many teachable moments that arise over the course of instruction using Read Naturally. As long as I am a teacher, Read Naturally will continue to be a cornerstone to my instruction.

As a Literacy Specialist and Intervention Coordinator, I love having an intervention resource dedicated to fluency! As our students grow their foundational skills, Read Naturally Live has been a great way to extend student growth and proficiency. The nonfiction stories are engaging and informative!

As a Reading Interventionist, my school was struggling to find a program that both built fluency as well as reading comprehension for our 5th-8th graders. Read Live to the rescue! We are seeing many of our at risk students show huge growth in their reading comprehension. The program has high interest stories at each level. Students get to choose what stories they would like to read. I should also add - the training we received from Read Live was extremely helpful to us.

We've seen lots of growth in the older students using read naturally as an intervention. It really helps with comprehension and fluency.

We love Read Naturally Live! I have used Read Naturally for 20 years. I started with the paper copies. The live version makes my life so much easier. I like that each student is at their individual instructional level. The reports are great and informative. All around a great program that shows results!!

Although I cannot speak for the rest of my coworkers, I love Read Live. I have seen a big leap in how my students read. Their scores are going up and even improved on their state testing. I have used Read Naturally in the past and have loved how quickly, with daily practice, my students improved.
