Intervention Programs

Read Live had been a great resource and program to engage and empower my students in their reading skills! This programs encompasses vocabulary, phonics, fluency and comprehension. I love how it assesses where students are at and provides engaging content that targets needed skills! My students develop their phonics skills through Word Warm-ups and the phonics series in Read Naturally Live. My older students work to develop their vocabulary and oral reading fluency. They love checking their progress on the graphs and setting goals for themselves in their learning. Read Naturally has become such a staple in my classroom!

We tried Read Live in our intervention lab as a free sample. We really liked it and hope we can find money next year to order it for our upper grade lab students.

My students and I love Read Naturally! The stories are engaging and my students love that can see their progress in the fluency charts at the end of each story.

I appreciate that there is a phonics based series of stories. The sequence of exercises for all the Read Naturally Live lessons is excellent and students can visually see their reading rate improve with repeated readings. My students have made great progress with this program and I have appreciated using Read Live with the students who really needed this level of support. It's easy to print the story that students pick to send home with them for extra repeated reading practice at home too.

I have used Read Live for years. As an Orton Gillingham Reading Intervention Specialist in middle and high school, I find Read Live especially beneficial for those students who have mastered phonics and are at the stage of generalizing learned skills into the content area subjects. I like that there are various topics at each level. This helps keep students interested and choose topics relevant to their learning. I love that the teacher has flexibility in altering each student's program settings. For example, I have a student with very high comprehension but low fluency. I limit the amount of comprehension activities he has to do and increase the fluency and repetition drills. I feel it is essential for the teacher to be involved with the students' learning and sit alongside them as they interact with the program. However, the program does lend itself nicely to independent work when appropriate. Finally, the program's data is extremely valuable for IEP goal writing and progress monitoring.

As a special education teacher, I’ve found Read Live: Read Naturally to be a highly effective tool for supporting students with reading difficulties, especially those with learning disabilities or who require targeted intervention. The program’s structured, predictable routine is a great fit for students who benefit from consistency and clear expectations. Its combination of modeled reading, repeated practice, and comprehension questions helps build fluency, confidence, and understanding over time. I appreciate how the program allows for individual pacing, which is crucial in a special education setting, and the progress monitoring features make it easy to document growth and adjust instruction as needed. With proper scaffolding and teacher support, Read Naturally has made a noticeable difference in my students’ reading development.

My students love the Read Live program. The program is engaging for all levels of readers. I also appreciate that the students also have access to the supplemental program, One Minute Reader. I have students that chose to do "extra reading" at home with the One Minute Reader program because they enjoy it so much.

This was my first year being introduced to the program and using it. I was blown away by the visible progress a student can make just by using the program. It has allowed me to redesign my time with students and provided me much sought after data to support ongoing intervention. The flip side it provides data that a student has graduated to just general education supports. Thank you for such a great product!

As a district reading interventionist, we have been using Read Live for a number of years with great success. The classroom teachers we introduce the program to are happy with the ease of use, the progress kiddos make, and the feedback.

This is my first year at the charter school I work with I E P students and I'm very happy with this program. My kids have improved so much from the beginning of the year until now and they have so much confidence that they participate more in class answering questions and wanting to read out loud. I have seen an amazing amount of growth from my reading group this year. My students have learned to slow down their reading and focus on the quality of the words they are reading rather than trying to read enough words to pass the level as quickly as possible. I have one student who has increased his reading dramatically on testing. He went from a kindergarten reading level to a second grade reading level on state testing within a few months of starting the program. My students now look for context clues when reading any passage and are able to better sort out main idea and supporting details.

My intervention students use the program daily. They love it, and I love the reading gains they are making. Thanks to Read Live, our students can put all their developing skills together to practice everything from phonics and vocabulary to fluency and comprehension. Our entire Learning Disabilities Intervention team uses it and suggests it to others. What I think the students love the most about the program is watching their progress on the chart that shows their cold reads versus their hot reads after repeated practice. It motivates them to work hard and then feel success.

The implementation of Read Live this year has been transformative for both my ELA and intervention students. My alternative high school students love the program. It’s easy to use and not baby looking so I get their buy in. Besides that we have seen growth in our intervention students that use the program.

Great program! The resistant readers are more willing to use Read Live, since the stories are chosen by them, short and they get quick results/input on their progress. We are able to use the program for intervention, as well as reading practice for students at grade level.

I was skeptical about using this program at first thinking it would be another program to push on the students. I love that the students had independence to pick a story of interest. They also could independently talk to the computer and get feedback. The teacher features to turn certain features on and off to differentiate was awesome. I no longer work at the school that I used this program with but I wish I could use this with my current title 1 students and tutoring students. I don't have a personal budget to pay for it.

Many students have found it helpful for honing their test-taking strategies and boosting their confidence for the exam.

However, it would be highly beneficial if the platform could integrate speech-to-text functionality. Several of our students rely on this accommodation to support their learning process, and its inclusion could further improve accessibility and allow these students to engage more fully with the content. This would enhance their ability to respond to reading exercises and assessments more effectively, making Read Live even more inclusive.

Overall, Read Live has been a valuable tool for students in grades 1st through 5th, and adding speech-to-text functionality could make it even more accessible and beneficial to a wider range of learners.
