What's New in This Release

Read Live version 4.14.0 includes the release of the Periodic Assessment of Fluency feature in Read Naturally Live. This feature is used to measure a student’s fluency progress throughout the school year.

Detailed Summary of changes in this release

• The Periodic Assessment of Fluency feature in Read Naturally Live measures a student's fluency progress throughout the school year. 
  • By default, the new assessment feature is on for all students. It can be turned off in the Read Naturally Live Story Options.
  • Alerts in the Read Naturally Live student module and on the Staff Member Module's Student Activity page indicate when a fluency assessment is available for each student. To perform an assessment, open the Teacher menu in the Read Naturally Live student module.
  • Each assessment consists of one to two valid, one-minute, teacher-conducted timings of passages by the student. 
  • The level of passages for an entire school year is based on a student’s Read Naturally Live assignment at the time of the first assessment of that year. A minimum of 10 weeks is required between assessments.
  • The Periodic Assessment of Fluency Report displays a student's results for each fluency assessment alongside the rate at which the student completed stories in Read Naturally Live.
