Assessing students' needs and placing them appropriately is crucial to success in Read Live programs. Check out these short, informative videos to guide you through the process.

Over the past couple of years, we've made several enhancements to Read Live. We've added new programs, new content, and new features with the intention of helping as many students as possible succeed. All Read Live users have access to these enhancements at no additional cost. Are you aware of everything available to you as a Read Live user?

We hope that you and your students will enjoy these new printables: updated labels, a weekly story tracker, a difficult word list, and blank graphs for Read Naturally Live.

As another year in my Read Live reading lab winds down, I've noticed an uptick in my third graders' motivation. Many of them had been "saving" certain story topics for last, patiently waiting to read the stories that interested them the most. They're thrilled that the time has finally come. The Exploding Toads story, in particular, has been worth the wait!

If you peruse Apple’s App Store, you’ll find thousands of apps that claim to be educational. But do these apps really promote learning? Or is the word “educational” just thrown in to make them more appealing to teachers and parents?

Now that the school year is half over, many teachers wonder if it's too late to begin a Read Live intervention. The answer is no! It's never too late to implement Read Live or to add students to your existing account. Once you've trained students in how to use the program, they will start benefitting right away. They can even continue using the program over the summer.

Claire Ihnot Hayes is an Educational Consultant for Read Naturally who meets with educators nationwide to train them in Read Naturally programs. One of the most frequent questions Claire receives from educators is, “How can I adapt Read Naturally programs to meet the various needs of my students?” Older students, younger students, and ELL students have different needs and thus require different adjustments. We recently sat down with Claire to document her favorite tips for adapting Read Naturally Live to optimize success for a diverse body of students. These tips work for Encore students as well.

Thousands of students and teachers have been using Read Live in a distance-learning model with great success—and Read Live has continued to improve to meet their needs. We have made several enhancements to support Read Live’s use in a distance-learning model. Check out our distance-learning videos to see these new features in action!

Phonics skills are foundational to reading and spelling and necessary for fluency and comprehension. All first- and second-grade students benefit from developing these skills, no matter where they are on their reading journey. However, they need a program that can be tailored to meet their individual needs. Word Warm-ups Live is the perfect solution.

We’re so excited to be partnering with ClassLink, Clever and Google Classroom to provide Read Live students with a single sign-on option. A single sign-on via ClassLink, Clever or Google Classroom saves time and eliminates the need to enter and store multiple passwords. The latest Read Live updates add integrations for ClassLink and Clever to our already established Google Classroom option.
