Learning to decode words is a difficult skill in its own right. ELL students have the added challenge of learning this skill in a nonnative language. It goes without saying that these students need lots of extra support. What should this support look like?

Congratulations, Ethan M. from West Des Moines, IA, for being awarded Read Naturally's April Star of the Month Award. Ethan is a fifth grader at Crossroads Park Elementary School. Ethan was nominated by his teacher Lynda Niffenegger for his tenacious drive to improve his reading and his great success with the Read Naturally Live program.

May’s “Appy Hour” presentation marked the final webinar in our free series for this year. Thank you to everyone who attended! We were thrilled to offer relevant information and resources to fellow educators, and we enjoyed getting to know you on the other side of the screen. Did you miss one of our live presentations? Not to worry! We have recordings of each webinar available for free on our website.

It sounds too good to be true, but it’s not! Any Read Live student can continue working in the program from home if you set his/her parent up as a program helper. We encourage you to let parents know this is an option.
