We are thrilled to announce that we are currently taking pre-orders for our latest and greatest new product, Read Naturally GATE+!

Our development team has been working hard to make Read Live more accessible and flexible for you and your students. Here are some of the important updates that have been released in the last couple of months.

The easiest Read Naturally stories to read are often the hardest ones to write. Many people are surprised to learn this. Isn’t it easier to write a quick level 1.0 story than it is to research and write a complex level 8.0 story?

Innovations and developments over more than three decades have continuously enhanced the quality of the tools Read Naturally offers for teachers and students. In addition, Read Naturally remains dedicated to doing right by teachers and students. Our founder, Candyce Ihnot, still works tirelessly along with the rest of the Read Naturally team to strengthen its reading instruction tools and training.

We are looking to conduct and publish studies demonstrating the efficacy of Read Naturally Live. Contact us if you are interested in participating.

I'll never forget the time my middle child, at age four, found a flashcard with the word “flabbergasted” on it. I read the card to him and told him the meaning of the word. He started bringing the card everywhere he went and belly laughing whenever he showed it to someone. Some nights, he even slept with it under his pillow.

Surprisingly, just over 50% of elementary teacher preparation programs in the United States offer courses in scientifically based reading methods (Moorer, 2020). Our new Foundational Reading Skills White Paper explains the science of how students learn to read and what skills they need to be taught.

Here’s some food for thought: When multilingual learners come across common English idioms in text, confusion can hit like a ton of bricks. Although these expressions are second nature for native speakers, they are clear as mud for learners of the English language. Especially when these learners are struggling to read, idioms can add insult to injury. Let’s throw them a bone, shall we?

Word Warm-ups Live develops accuracy and automaticity in decoding using a modified version of the Read Naturally Strategy. Students work on short audio-supported phonics exercises for as little as 10 minutes a day as reading warm-ups, or up to 30 minutes a day as an intervention.

We recently added a third level of content to Word Warm-ups Live, making the program a more comprehensive phonics curriculum. Check out the Word Warm-ups Live Basics webinar to learn more about this powerful phonics program.

Over the past couple of years, we've made several enhancements to Read Live. We've added new programs, new content, and new features with the intention of helping as many students as possible succeed. All Read Live users have access to these enhancements at no additional cost. Are you aware of everything available to you as a Read Live user?
