One Minute Reader AppNote: New web-based version on One Minute Reader is now available!

Earlier this year, our award-winning One Minute Reader program jumped off the page and onto the tablet. The free version of the One Minute Reader iPad app was an instant hit, giving developing readers everywhere the opportunity to try a unique fluency-building strategy that really works. Thousands of excited parents and teachers have since purchased additional One Minute Reader content through the in-app bookstore. Today, we’re happy to announce that it’s even more convenient and less expensive to purchase this content—just in time to ensure your students continue making gains over the summer.

Each level, E (emerging reader) through 5, has a corresponding app that includes 25 high-interest, nonfiction stories with fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary-building activities. The 25 stories are grouped into five books, each of which has a theme such as “Cool Creatures” or “Amazing Athletes.”

At just $19.99 each, the One Minute Reader level apps are convenient and cost-effective. One simple click will download an entire level of content, making this the fastest and easiest way to obtain a robust library of material for your reader. Additionally, purchasing a One Minute Reader level app is less expensive than purchasing each book through the bookstore embedded in the free app. Schools that have problems making in-app purchases will appreciate that each One Minute Reader level is purchased directly from the iTunes store. Schools may also take advantage of Apple’s Education Volume Purchase Program, which gives a 50% discount if you purchase 20 or more copies.*

The free One Minute Reader iPad app is still a great option for parents and teachers who want to try the app at no cost. For those who wish to purchase additional content, the One Minute Reader level apps are your best bet. We hope your school will benefit from this option, and be sure to spread the word to parents looking for an engaging program to keep readers on track over the summer.
