Monitoring Student Performance
In the Read Live Staff Module, you can print reports describing a student's performance in Word Warm-ups Live. The Word List Graph, Spelling Graph, and Exercise Details reports are available for any section or exercise in which a student has worked.
To access Word Warm-ups reports in the Staff Module:
- Log in to the Staff Member Module.
- From the navigation menu, select Reports.
- Click Word Warm-ups Live Reports.

Generating Word Warm-ups Section Reports
Available Word Warm-ups Section Reports include Word List and Spelling Graphs for any sections in which a student has worked.
To generate Word List or Spelling graphs:
- Log in to the Staff Member Module.
- From the navigation menu, select Reports.
- Click Word Warm-ups Live Reports.
- Click Student Section Reports.
- On the Student Word Warm-ups Section Reports page, use column filters and the Search by Group menu to narrow the list of students displayed.
- Click the Generate button for any student for whom you need a report.
- In the dialog that opens, use the checkboxes to choose whether you want to see a Word List Graph, a Spelling Graph, or both.
- In the Section dropdown, choose the section for which you want to see reports.
Any section is which the student has worked is present in the list. - Click Generate Reports.
Notes
- Graphs display information for exercises in which a student has worked, including any in-progress exercise.
- In order for data to be displayed in a graph, the related step must have been completed by the student. For example, if a student has not yet spelled all the words in the Spelling step for their current exercise, the bar for that exercise will be empty in the Spelling graph.

Generating Exercise Details Reports
The Exercise Details report for any exercise a student has worked in is available in the Staff Member Module.
To generate Exercise Details rep:
- Log in to the Staff Member Module.
- From the navigation menu, select Reports.
- Click Word Warm-ups Live Reports.
- Click Exercise Details.
- On the Word Warm-ups Exercise Details page, use column filters and the Search by Group menu to narrow the list of students displayed.
- Click the Generate button for any student for whom you need a report.
- In the dialog that opens, choose the Level and Section of the exercise for which you need a report.
- Use the Exercise dropdown to choose the specific exercise for the report.
All exercises in which the student has worked in this section appear on the list. - Click Generate Report.
Note
- You can generate an Exercise Details report a for a student's current, in-progress exercise. In order for data to be displayed in the report, the related step must have been completed by the student. For example, if a student has not yet finished spelling all the words in the Spelling step, that data will not appear on the report.

Generating Word Warm-ups Level Reports
Word Warm-ups Level Reports allow a teacher to review student performance across all of the exercises in one or more levels. The Student Level Report includes specific information about how a student performed in each exercise.
To generate Word Warm-ups Level reports:
- Log in to the Staff Member Module.
- From the navigation menu, select Reports.
- Click Word Warm-ups Live Reports.
- Click Student Level Reports.
- On the Student Word Warm-ups Level Reports page, use column filters and the Search by Group menu to narrow the list of students displayed.
- Use the checkboxes on the left side of the page to choose students for whom you want to see the report.
- Click the Generate Reports for Selected button above the grid. A dialog opens asking how many levels of reporting data you need.
- Choose how many levels of recent performance to review for all of the students you selected.
- Click the Generate Reports button.
Notes
- A separate Word Warm-ups Level Report opens for each student for each level included in the report. For example, if you chose to see two levels of recent performance for a single student, the report will include a separate page for each of those levels.
- The report shows student performance from the most recent work to the least recent work. The most recent exercises a student worked in appear at the top of the report's table, and the least recent work appears at the bottom.
- The report shows all of the exercises in any section in which a student has worked. For example, if a student has finished two exercises in a section, but there are three more to do, the report shows the incomplete exercises too. This allows you to review the student's progress through the full context of the Word Warm-ups Live curriculum.

Reviewing a student's current Level, Section, and Word List Goal from the Word Warm-ups Student Module
To quickly review a student's current assignment and goal from the Word Warm-ups Student Module, use the Level | Goal menu.
- While a student is working, open the Level | Goal menu in the header of the Student Module.
The menu includes detailed information about the student's current level and section. The exercises in the section are listed, along with the skills taught in each exercise. Below the list of exercises, the student's current Word List Goal is displayed in words correct per minute.
