Read Live v1.4: Release notes

Read Live version 1.4 includes the following changes:

• For new students, the default number of required practices has been changed to 3 (previously, it was set to 1). Teachers still have the option of changing the number of required practices using Story Options. (You can access Story Options from the Students tab – Read Naturally Live page in the Teacher module, or from the Teacher link when a student is logged in.)
• Now teachers can email progress letters, certificates, and awards to the parents of Read Naturally Live students directly from the Teacher module.
• A new Student Roster report for Read Naturally Live students enables teachers to generate a class or group list with current placement information for their own use or to share with other teachers and volunteers.
• We've improved scoring on the phonics word lists to make it easier to monitor student progress in decoding. The word list is no longer a "beat the bell" activity. Instead, students read the entire list every time, and we track and report how long it takes to read the entire list.
• Several Read Naturally Live reports now include student results from the phonics word lists, including a new word list graph.
• The Review Work page in the Student module and the printed Story Details report now show Pass results from both the first and most recent attempts to pass the story.
• It's easier to generate Read Naturally Live level reports—you can generate the Level Summary, Fluency graph, Comprehension graph, and Retell graph without having to repeat your student search or reselect students.
• Miscellaneous changes to the Teacher module make it easier to use.
• This version includes fixes for miscellaneous problems discovered since Read Live 1.3 was released.
