SE v2.0: Retrieving the administrator password

Network installations of Read Naturally SE v2.0 include a utility that allows you to retrieve a lost or forgotten Administrator password.

IMPORTANT: Support for v2.0.x was discontinued as of 6/30/2013.

Note: It is recommended that you upgrade your Read Naturally SE v2.0 software to Read Live.

WHERE TO FIND THE ADMIN PASSWORD RETRIEVAL UTILITY

If you are running v2.0.3 network already, then you can find this program on the server here (default paths):

  • Microsoft Windows Computers:
    C:\Program Files\RNSEServer\RNSEServer\AdminPassword.exe
  • Apple Macintosh Computers:
    /Library/RNSEServer/AdminPassword

Note: Please be aware that this utility can only be run on the server and will not work via Windows Remote Desktop.

Note: If the utility displays a blank password, make sure the utility is in the correct location as specified in the instructions (Read Me file).
