SE v2.0: Setting user permissions for Windows stand-alone installations

When you are using the SE 2 stand-alone version on a Windows computer, your Windows user name must have full access to the Read Naturally SE 2 program directory in order to log in for the first time. To give your user name the necessary permissions, perform these steps:

  1. To find out what your Windows user name is, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. You should see a dialog that says, <name> is logged in as <user name>.
  2. Give your user name full access to the Read Naturally SE directory by performing these steps:

    1. Open the folder My Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files.
    2. Right-click Read Naturally SE 2, and choose Properties.
    3. Choose the Security tab.
    4. In the Group or User Names list, choose your user name.
    5. Check the Allow box for Full Control and click OK.

Note: If you do not see your user name listed on the Security tab, you may not have permission to change your own security settings. Either log in to the computer as a Windows administrator or contact the Windows administrator to give your user name full control of the Read Naturally SE 2 directory.
