SE v2.0: Stopping and starting the RNSEServer service

To resolve certain kinds of issues in network installations, it may be necessary to stop and then restart the main SE server component, RNSEServer. The latest version of SE (version 2.0.3) includes a utility for starting and stopping the the RNSEServer service. You should only stop the RNSEServer service when no one is using the SE software.

To stop and restart the RNSEServer service:
  1. Double-click the ServerStartStop file on the server. The location of the utility is different for Windows and Mac OS X servers:
    Windows servers \Program Files\RNSEServer\RNSEServer\
    Mac OS X servers /Library/RNSEServer/
  2. To stop the RNSEServer service, click Stop Server.

  3. To restart the RNSEServer service, click Start Server.

  4. Click Quit to close the utility.

Note: If you are running an earlier version of SE v2, you can download and install the free SE 2.0.3 update that includes the ServerStartStop utility.
