This page provides information about the SE 1.6 update, which includes enhancements and corrections to the Read Naturally SE 1.x software. Read Naturally SE 1.x customers can use the links below to download the latest files and update their SE 1.x software.

Downloading the SE 1.6 Update
Note: If you changed the folder name or default location, you may have trouble using these updaters. If you experience the above, or your security settings or the size of the files prevent you from downloading any of the updates, please contact Read Naturally technical support by submitting a software support request online or by calling 1-800-788-4085, and we will send you a CD-ROM with the files for your system. Please be sure to specify which software version you are requesting (for example, Windows Stand-Alone Version).
To download the Read Naturally SE 1.6 update, perform these steps:
- Perform a backup of your current data (see Backing Up the Data Files for instructions).
- Download the files to update your version to Read Naturally SE Version 1.6 according to the instructions below.
Windows Stand-Alone Version 1.6 - Click here to download the WinUpdate16sa.exe file (13.5 MB).
- Click the Save button.
- Click the Save button again to save the file on your desktop.
- Once the download is complete, click the Open button.
- Click the Unzip button to unzip the installer to the default location, and then click the OK button on the window that says the files unzipped successfully. The installer will start automatically.
- Follow the directions on the screen.
Note: If you want to uninstall the Read Naturally SE program after installing this update from Read Naturally SE version 1.0 or 1.1, you will need to perform a couple of extra tasks during the uninstallation process. Click here for instructions. (If you have updated from Read Naturally SE version 1.5, you will not need to manually delete any additional items. Once you have run the regular uninstallation, the Read Naturally SE program will be completely uninstalled from your computer.) - Click here to download the MacUpdate16sa.sea.bin file (12.7 MB).
- Double-click the downloaded file.
- Click the Save button to save the file on your desktop. The file will automatically unstuff, and a message will let you know the process was successful.
- Click the Quit button to close this message window.
- Double-click the newly-unstuffed installer, and follow the directions
on the screen.
Note: If you want to uninstall the Read Naturally SE program after installing this update, you will need to manually delete several items. Click here for instructions. - Click here to download the WinUpdate16Net.exe file (15.9 MB).
- Click the Save button.
- Click the Save button again to save the file on your desktop.
- Once the download is complete, click the Open button.
- Click the Unzip button to unzip the installer to the default location, and then click the OK button on the window that says the files unzipped successfully. The installer will start automatically.
- Follow the directions on the screen.
- Uninstall and reinstall the client program on each workstation.
- Uninstall the client program on each workstation.
- Click here to download the MacUpdate16Net.sea.bin file (30.4 MB).
- Double-click the downloaded file.
- Click the Save button to save the file on your desktop. The file will automatically unstuff, and a message will let you know the process was successful.
- Click the Quit button to close this message window.
- Double-click the newly-unstuffed installer, and follow the directions on the screen.
- Reinstall the
client program on each workstation.
