Uninstalling and Reinstalling SE Clients
on Windows Workstations
To uninstall and reinstall the client program on each workstation, follow the directions below:
Uninstalling the SE Client Software
- Select Start > Programs > Read Naturally > Uninstall Read Naturally.
- Click OK to confirm you want to uninstall the Read Naturally files>
- Click OK to acknowledge that Read Naturally was successfully removed from your hard drive.
Reinstalling the SE Client Software
- Logon to the network from the client workstation as a user who
can access the RN Server folder on the server.
Note: If the client workstation is not connected to the shared folder you created on the server, connect it by selecting Map Network Drive from the Tools menu in the Explorer, selecting the same drive letter to which you installed the Read Naturally server applications, and enter the path to the folder you created on the server (e.g. \\server\Reading Class) in the Path field (or Folder field in Windows XP). - Double-click the InstallWkstnWin.exe program in the RN Server folder on the server.
- Read the welcome information, and then click the Next button.
- Read the license agreement information, and then click the I Agree button.
- Indicate the location where you want to install the Read Naturally SE applications. The default location is C:\Program Files. You can accept the default location or browse to a different location. To browse to a different location, click the ellipse (...) button. When you find the correct location, click the Next button. You do not need to create a folder. The installation program automatically creates a folder called Read Naturally.
- Confirm the location where you want to install the programs, and
then click the Start button to begin the installation process.
Result: The installation program copies the Read Naturally files to the location you specified on the workstation's hard drive and creates a Student Stories shortcut for the desktop. A status bar shows the installation progress, and a message displays when the process completes. - Click the Exit button to complete the Read Naturally workstation installation.
- Click the Yes or No button to indicate whether you want to access the Teacher Management System now.
