SE v1.6 Update
SE Version 1.6 Enhancements and Corrections
The Read Naturally SE version 1.6 updater includes both enhancements and corrections to the program.
Enhancements
- RNReset program: Read Naturally SE site license
users will no longer need to run this program. When users with 1-
or 2-user networks run this program, it will no longer log off all
students automatically. The reset program now allows you to choose
the student(s) to log off in order to fix the problem, allowing the
other students to continue to work while you run the program.
Resetting User Information
(replaces the procedure on page 100 of the copyright 2000 Read Naturally SE User Guide)
- Backing up the data files: Previously successive
backups created backup folders nested within the previous backup folder,
resulting both in multiple folders that took up unnecessary drive
space and also in difficulty finding a specific folder. Now you can
either replace the existing backup folder or prepare a new folder
in which to save the new backup ahead of time.
Backing Up Your Data Files
(replaces the procedure on page 98 of the copyright 2002 Read Naturally SE User Guide)
- Installation programs: We improved the installation programs for new installations, making it easier and more user-friendly.
Corrections
- Teacher Password: We corrected a problem that caused
teachers to lose the students assigned to them when they changed their
password. Now students remain assigned to a teacher even when that
teacher's password changes.
- Performance: We made several changes to improve the overall performance and speed of the program.
