Reading Fluency Monitor v1.2 Update

Read Naturally released the Reading Fluency Monitor version 1.2 update in June 2003. Reading Fluency Monitor users can use the links below to download the latest files for this free update

RFM version 1.2 allows you to create and view a historical archive of your data files, organized by year. At the end of the school year you can choose to archive all of your students’ assessment data, while still retaining general information about the students, teachers, and classes you’ve created. For more information about this update, please contact Read Naturally.

Note: If you changed the folder name or default location, you may have trouble using these updaters. If you experience the above, or your security settings or the size of the files prevent you from downloading any of the updates, please contact Read Naturally technical support by submitting a software support request online or by calling 1-800-788-4085, and we will send you a CD-ROM with the files for your system. Please be sure to specify which software version you are requesting (for example, Windows Stand-Alone Version).

To download the version 1.2 update for Reading Fluency Monitor, follow these steps:

  1. Perform a backup of your current data (see Backing Up the RFM Data Files for instructions).
  1. Download the files to update your version to Reading Fluency Monitor Version 1.2 according to the instructions below.
    Windows Stand-Alone Version
    1. Click here to download the RFM12UpdateSA.exe file (1.8 MB).
    2. Click the OK button to save the program to your computer.
    3. Click the Save button to save the file to your computer's desktop.
    4. Once the download is complete, double-click on the file RFM12UpdateSA.exe to begin the update.
    5. Follow the directions on the screen.
    Macintosh Stand-Alone Version
    1. Click here to download the RFM12UpdateSA.sea.bin file (3.5 MB).
    2. Double-click the downloaded file.
    3. Click the Save button to save the file on your desktop. The file will automatically unstuff, and a message will let you know the process was successful.
    4. Click the Quit button to close this message window.
    5. Double-click the newly-unstuffed installer, and follow the directions on the screen.
    Windows Network Version
    1. Click here to download the RFM12UpdateNet.exe file (1.3 MB).
    2. Click the OK button to save the program to your computer.
    3. Click the Save button to save the file to your computer's desktop.
    4. Once the download is complete, double-click on the file RFM12UpdateNet.exe to begin the update.
    5. Follow the directions on the screen.
    6. Uninstall and reinstall the client program on each workstation.

    Macintosh Network Version

    1. Click here to download the RFM12UpdateNet.sea.bin file (3.4 MB).
    2. Double-click the downloaded file.
    3. Click the Save button to save the file on your desktop. The file will automatically unstuff, and a message will let you know the process was successful.
    4. Click the Quit button to close this message window.
    5. Double-click the newly-unstuffed installer, and follow the directions on the screen.
    6. Uninstall and reinstall the client program on each workstation.
