Using Read Naturally SE v2.1.x on Wireless LANs
Although IEEE 802.11 wireless local area networks (LANs) share some similarities with Ethernet (wired) LANs, they are not the same. For example, clients on wireless LANs are not guaranteed to always connect with each other, there is a considerably higher bit error rate (consequently, data is more susceptible to corruption), and data transmission is potentially much slower compared to wired LANs.
Read Naturally Network Plus software requires consistent data throughput with a minimum of data corruption during transmission between the client software and the database residing on the school or district server. Read Naturally does not support the use of SE Network Plus software in a wireless LAN environment.
However, in beta testing, SE Network Plus v2.1.x did perform well in a lab where 30 wireless computers were used all at the same time. This does not mean that it will work well in your wireless environment, and you would be implementing it at your own risk. We would work with you in troubleshooting any problems you may encounter, but cannot guarantee successful resolution.
