Title bar in Read Naturally SE displays incorrect information
Client Operating System: All supported Windows operating systems (Mac OS installations are not affected)
SE Version: SE Network Plus v2.1.4 and SE Stand-Alone v2.1.4 (earlier versions of SE v2.1.x are not affected)
Symptoms:
When you are logged in to Read Naturally SE as a student and progress one or more steps, the title bar in the Read Naturally window stops displaying the student's name and the title of the story they are working on.
Solution for Read Naturally SE Network Plus:
You must replace an executable on each workstation where the Read Naturally client software is installed. After downloading the new executable file, you can copy it to each workstation individually, overwriting the existing executable (v2.1.4.6), or you can use another method to push the corrected file to all clients at once as you would with other software (details about how to do so is outside the scope of this support topic).
Perform these steps:
- Download and unzip the following file:
../Updates/Win/rnse_np_v2.1.4.7.zip - Copy the extracted file rnse_np.exe (version 2.1.4.7) into the following folder on each client workstation, overwriting the existing file:
C:\Program Files\Read Naturally Client (default location) - Log in as a student, start going through one of the stories, and advance at least one step to confirm that the title bar displays the student name and title of the story.
Solution for Read Naturally SE Stand-Alone:
You must replace an executable on each computer where the Read Naturally stand-alone software is installed. After you download the new executable file, you can copy it to each computer individually, overwriting the existing executable (v2.1.4.6), or you can use another method to push the corrected file to all computers at once as you would with other software (details about how to do so is outside the scope of this support topic).
Perform these steps:
- Download and unzip the following file:
../Updates/Win/rnse_SA_v2.1.4.7.zip - Copy the extracted file rnse.exe (version 2.1.4.7) into the following folder on each computer, overwriting the existing file:
C:\Program Files\Read Naturally SE 2 (default location) - Log in as a student, start going through one of the stories, and advance at least one step to confirm that the title bar displays the student name and title of the story.
