"Can't connect to MySQL server" error when logging in as a student

Operating System: Windows

Symptoms: When you attempt to log in to SE Network Plus as a student, you get a "can't connect to MySQL server" error. (You can still log in as an administrator or teacher.)

Probable Cause: Not enough buffer space is available due to a memory usage setting in Windows.

Solution:

  1. Right-click the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop and choose Properties.
  2. Choose the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Performance.
  3. Choose the Advanced tab, and then choose Programs under Memory Usage.
  4. Click OK, and then click OK again.
