Unable to run reports in SE Network Plus 2.1.1
Operating System: Windows or Mac OS
SE Version: SE 2.1.1 Network Plus
Symptoms:
After updating from SE 2.1 to SE 2.1.1, customers are unable to generate reports and receive the following error message: "Unknown column 'Adult' in 'where clause'."
Solution: The SE v2.1.2 update resolves this problem. You must apply the v2.1.2 update to the server as well as all client workstations. You can download the SE v2.1.2 update from the Updates & Downloads page.
If you decide not to install the SE v2.1.2 update, you can also correct the problem by replacing the rnreports.rev file on each client workstation as described below.
Alternate Solution for Windows Workstations:
You must manually replace the rnreports.rev file on each workstation from which you generate reports. Perform these steps:
- Make sure you are logged out of Read Naturally.
- Download the rnreports.zip file.
- Unzip the rnreports.zip file with an extraction utility such as WinZip. You should now have a folder called rnreports with a file called rnreports.rev inside of it.
- Copy the rnreports.rev file in the rnreports folder (right-click the file and choose Copy).
- Go to the C:\Program Files\Read Naturally Client folder, and paste the new rnreports.rev file so that it replaces the old one (right-click in the Read Naturally Client folder and choose Paste).
- Log in to Read Naturally SE and verify that you are are able to generate reports.
Alternate Solution for Mac OS Workstations:
You must manually replace the rnreports.rev file on each workstation from which you generate reports. Perform these steps:

- Unzip the rnreports.zip file with an extraction utility such as StuffIt. You should now have a folder called rnreports with a file called rnreports.rev inside of it.

- Go to the /Applications/Read Naturally Client folder, hold down the Control key, click the rnse_np file, and choose Show Package Contents.
- You should now see a folder named Contents. Double-click it to open it.
- Double-click the MacOS folder to open it, and paste the new rnreports.rev file so that it replaces the old one (hold down the Control key and choose Paste Item).
- Log in to Read Naturally SE and verify that you are able to generate reports.
