Energy saver or power settings can cause the computer hosting the SE server software to go into a sleep state after a period of time. You can avoid this by changing the server's power settings.
To change the power settings on a Mac OS X computer:
- Choose System Preferences from the apple menu.
- Click Energy Saver.
- Under Put the server to sleep when it is inactive for, slide the control to Never.
- Close the Energy Saver window.
To change the power settings on a Windows computer:
- Select Start > Control Panel and then double-click Power Options.
- From the Power Schemes tab, set System standby and System hibernates to Never.
- Click OK.
