How to set user permissions for Windows stand-alone installations
When you are using the SE 2 stand-alone version on a Windows computer, your Windows user name must have full access to the Read Naturally SE 2 program directory in order to log in for the first time. To give your user name the necessary permissions, perform these steps:
- To find out what your Windows user name is, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. You should see a dialog that says, <name> is logged in as <user name>.
- Give your user name full access to the Read Naturally SE directory
by performing these steps:
- Open the folder My Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files.
- Right-click Read Naturally SE 2, and choose Properties.
- Choose the Security tab.
- In the Group or User Names list, choose your user name.
- Check the Allow box for Full Control and click OK.
Note: If you do not see your user name listed on the
Security tab, you may not have permission to change your own security
settings. Either log in to the computer as a Windows administrator or
contact the Windows administrator to give your user name full control
of the Read Naturally SE 2 directory.
