SE 2.0 Error Codes

1/0	Mac OS X: SE 2.0 stand-alone version	You copied the installation file RNSAInstall_Mac-X to the desktop and are trying to install from there, which is not allowed.	Start the installation from the SE stand-alone installation CD. Double- click the RNSAInstall_Mac-X icon in the Open_To_Install_OSX folder.
	Mac OS X: SE 2.0 network version	You copied the client installation file InstallWkstn_Mac-X to the desktop and are trying to install from there, which is not allowed.	Move the InstallWkstn_Mac-X file back to the /Applications/RNSEServer/ RNSE_Client_Install folder on the server, and start the installation from there by double-clicking the file.
3	Windows: SE 2.0 standalone version	The program can't find the student stories, because the level CD is not in the computer's CD drive.	Put the CD with the stories for the student's level into the computer's CD drive. The CD drive must be assigned drive letter D:. Otherwise, you must change the drive letter designation in the RNSEPrefs file. Details
	Windows: SE 2.0.1 standalone version	Your Windows user name does not have the necessary permissions to log in for the first time.	To log in for the first time, your user name must have full control of the Read Naturally SE 2 program directory. Details

DbError 363	Mac OS and Windows: SE 2.0 network version	A record is locked in the SE database.	Unlock the database by using the Repair function in the SE 2.0 database utilities. Details
372	Windows: SE 2.0 network version	Unknown	1 Deleting the rn.ind file should resolve the immediate problem. Details 2 Updating SE to version 2.0.3 can reduce the chances of this problem recurring. Details
DbError 525	Mac OS and Windows: SE 2.0.2 stand-alone or network version, phonics levels only	The database is missing a field called WordListHighPrac. This can occur after you have updated an older version of SE to SE v2.0.2.	You can either re-install the SE v2.0.2 update or update SE to version 2.0.3. If you choose to re-install the 2.0.2 update, make sure that you only install from the update file you downloaded from the Read Naturally website, not from a SE v2.0.2 CD. Installing from the CD will add levels or completely reinstall the program and erase your data. If you cannot locate the v2.0.2 update you downloaded, you must update SE to v2.0.3. Download the SE v2.0.3 update
DbError 616	Mac OS and Windows: SE 2.0 network version	SE is locked on the story indicated in the error message.	Reset the story number indicated in the error message. Details
1019, 10053, 10054	Windows: SE 2.0.2 network version	Software defects in the RNSEServer.exe and server.dll components.	Update the RNSEServer.exe and server.dll components on the Windows server (Details) or install the SE 2.0.3 update.
DbError 10053	Mac OS and Windows: SE 2.0 network version	The stories are missing from the server for one or more levels for which you entered license codes.	Make sure the story files are installed on the server. On a Windows XP server, check My Computer\Local Disk (C:)\Program Files\RNSEServer\RNSEServer\Databases, and make sure there is a file with a .vdb extension for each of the levels for which you entered license codes. On a Mac OS X server, check Macintosh HD/Applications/ Library/RNSEServer /Databases, and make sure there is a file with a .vdb extension for each of the levels for which you entered license codes.
10055	Windows: SE 2.0 network version	The client workstation could not log in as a student because not enough buffer space is available (Windows TCP error). (You are still able to log in as an administrator or teacher.)	1 Right-click the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop and choose Properties. 2 Choose the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Performance. 3 Choose the Advanced tab, and then choose Programs under Memory Usage. 4 Click OK, and then click OK again.
10060	Windows: SE 2.0 network version	The client workstation is not communicating with the server computer.	1 Make sure the computer hosting the SE server software is running. 2 Make sure the SE server component is running. Try the following remedies: Restart the computer hosting the SE server software. Stop and restart the RNSEServer service: 1 Choose Start > Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Services. 2 In the list of services, right-click RNSEServer and choose Stop. 3 Right-click RNSEServer again and choose Start. Make sure the server is configured to use a static IP address. Details Make sure the story files are copied to the server. Check \Program Files \RNSEServer\RNSEServer\Databases, and make sure there is a file with a .vdb extension for each of the levels for which you entered license codes. Re-enter the license codes for your installed levels as described in the SE 2 Software Guide.
