In the Retell step, the timer finishes immediately and advances to the Ready to Pass screen when the student tries to type in the Retell Story box.

The Retell time in this student's Story Options is probably set to zero (0). To change the Retell time setting:

  1. Select Edit > Story Options and enter the teacher's password.
  2. On the Basic tab, change the Retell time to a number higher than zero (0).
