How can we set up our computers so the Student Stories window fills the screen with no task bar (Windows) or dock (Macintosh)?

On Windows workstations, perform these steps:

  1. Set the screen resolution to 800 by 600 pixels:
    1. From the Windows Start menu, choose Control Panel (or Settings > Control Panel).
    2. Double-click the Display icon.
    3. In the Display Properties window, choose the Settings tab.
    4. Under Screen Resolution, drag the slider control to 800 by 600 pixels.
    5. Click OK.
  2. Hide the taskbar:
    1. Right-click on the task bar on the bottom of the Windows display and choose Properties.
    2. From the Taskbar tab, choose Auto-hide the taskbar.
    3. Click OK.
  3. Minimize or close any applications other than Student Stories.

On Macintosh workstations, perform these steps:

  1. Set the screen resolution to 800 by 600 pixels:
    1. From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
    2. Double-click the Displays icon.
    3. Under Resolutions, choose 800 x 600.
  2. Click Show All.
  3. Hide the taskbar:
    1. From the System Preferences window, double-click the Dock icon.
    2. Check the box for Automatically hide and show the dock.
    3. Close the System Preferences window.
  4. Minimize or close any applications other than Student Stories.
