How can we set up our computers so the Student Stories window fills the screen with no task bar (Windows) or dock (Macintosh)?
On Windows workstations, perform these steps:
- Set the screen resolution to 800 by 600 pixels:
- From the Windows Start menu, choose Control Panel (or Settings > Control Panel).
- Double-click the Display icon.
- In the Display Properties window, choose the Settings tab.
- Under Screen Resolution, drag the slider control to 800 by 600 pixels.
- Click OK.
- Hide the taskbar:
- Right-click on the task bar on the bottom of the Windows display and choose Properties.
- From the Taskbar tab, choose Auto-hide the taskbar.
- Click OK.
- Minimize or close any applications other than Student Stories.
On Macintosh workstations, perform these steps:
- Set the screen resolution to 800 by 600 pixels:
- From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
- Double-click the Displays icon.
- Under Resolutions, choose 800 x 600.
- Click Show All.
- Hide the taskbar:
- From the System Preferences window, double-click the Dock icon.
- Check the box for Automatically hide and show the dock.
- Close the System Preferences window.
- Minimize or close any applications other than Student Stories.
