I'm using Windows NT/2000/XP, and when students finish a story and select a new story, they are logged out of Student Stories.

You can avoid this problem by having Read Naturally SE's store its temporary data in a separate folder, rather than in the Windows folder. Perfom these steps:

  1. Create a new folder called RNRec on the hard drive (C:) of the client workstation. This folder will be used to store Read Naturally SE's temporary files.
  2. Download the A5W.ini file and save it in the Read Naturally folder on the hard drive of the workstation. By default, the path for this folder is C:\Program Files\Read Naturally.
    pointer Download now
  3. Locate the A5W.ini file in the Read Naturally folder, and double-click it. It should automatically open in Notepad.
  4. Locate the [Directory] section of the file, and change the RecordsLocation line to specify the path to the folder you created in step 1, for example, C:\RNRec.
  5. Save and close the A5W.ini file.

Now when Read Naturally SE runs, its temporary data is stored in the RNRec folder instead of the Windows folder.
