On a Macintosh computer, why do I get out-of-memory errors when I run the Teacher Management or Student Stories application?

The amount of memory allocated to the application is set too low. To increase the amount of memory:

  1. Open the Read Naturally folder on the Macintosh workstation.
  2. Click once on the Teacher Management icon to select the program, and then choose File, Get Info, and then Memory.
  3. In the Memory settings window, click in the box on the bottom that says Preferred Memory. Increase this number if you have sufficient memory installed on the workstation.
  4. You may also need to turn on virtual memory.
  5. Close the window. Your new settings are saved.

Repeat these steps for the Student Stories application.
