Accelerate and extend the fluency gains your students are making using Read Naturally in the classroom with a One Minute Reader school-to-home program. Award-winning One Minute Reader has successfully improved the reading achievement of struggling readers across the country.

Based on the same strategy as Read Naturally’s classroom programs, One Minute Reader is designed to help students improve their fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. One Minute Reader provides high-interest, leveled nonfiction stories and audio recordings (different stories from those created for the Read Naturally program), along with fun features that allow students to see themselves progress quickly. Because all of the instructions are on the audio CD and an instructional DVD, One Minute Reader can be used independently even if no proficient reader is available in the home.

School-to-Home Materials

Read Naturally school-to-home materials for One Minute Reader allow students to check out books and audio CDs, using separate record sheets rather than writing in non-consumable books.

Choosing the Right Level

One Minute Reader books are written at different color-coded reading levels, so each reader can find stories at an appropriate reading level.

E	A Stick That Walks from Bugs!	Early first-grade reading level. Stories consist of a few short, simple sentences with several words repeated.
1	We Need Bees from Cool Creatures	Middle first-grade reading level. Stories consist of short, simple sentences with very few difficult words.
2	Quicksand from Ready, Set Red!	Middle second-grade reading level. Stories consist of simple sentences with a few difficult words.
3	Food Fight! from Fun Festivals	Middle third-grade reading level. Stories consist of of longer sentences with several difficult words.
4	London Burns from Disasters	Middle fourth-grade reading level. Stories consist of some complex sentences with more difficult words.
5	Special Delivery! from It Happened in America.	Middle fifth-grade reading level. Stories consist of complex text with more advanced concepts.
