Virtual Seminars
Read Naturally Virtual Seminars are a professional development opportunity for educators who want to get the most out of Read Naturally. These seminars are 60- to 90-minute interactive webcasts delivered by knowledgeable Read Naturally presenters, focusing on one of our reading fluency solutions. Each virtual seminar includes a live presentation, best practices, tips, and an opportunity to discuss with the presenter your specific questions about implementation, strategy, or requirements.
You can participate in the seminar from your home or office as a live event or view a recorded copy of the presentation when it fits your schedule. You can also extend the benefits of the seminar to others in your school or district at no extra charge, since registration is on a per-site basis.

Introduction to the Read Naturally Strategy (Item #VS102)
Description:
Learn more about the research and methodology behind the Read Naturally strategy. Designed for new or prospective Read Naturally educators, this introductory seminar outlines the importance of teacher modeling, repeated reading, and progress monitoring. It shows how these concepts are combined to form a single, powerful strategy to support the fluency development of Title I, special education, ELL, and mainstream students.
Intended Audience:
The seminar is intended for teachers, administrators, and aides that teach or that are concerned about teaching developing or struggling readers.
Duration:
Approximately 60 minutes.
Deliverables:
- Live virtual seminar event.
- Recorded copy of the event to view when it fits your schedule.
- Handouts and materials from the presenters in electronic format (for duplication and distribution to seminar attendees). Materials include research, guidelines for placement, stories for placement, sample graphs, Super Reader certificates, teacher responsibility sheet, bibliography, and teaching and classroom management tips for implementing the Read Naturally program.
- Each attendee may request a 45-day trial of any one Read Naturally SE or ME* level. (Note: Customers returning ME trials must ship them back to Read Naturally at their own expense.)
Essentials of Using Read Naturally Masters Edition (Item #VS103)
Description:
Learn how to use the Read Naturally Masters Edition in your school or classroom. Designed for new users or as a refresher, this seminar demonstrates how to use ME to spur fluency growth in your students. The seminar briefly reviews the Read Naturally strategy, and then launches into practical information that teachers need to effectively implement the strategy, including planning, setting up, placing students in the program, teaching students the steps, and monitoring their progress.
Intended Audience:
The seminar is intended for teachers, administrators, and aides that want to get the most out of Read Naturally Masters Edition.

In addition to a detailed walkthrough of the steps students must follow, topics include setting up the management system, interpreting reports, and effective use of placement and story options.
Intended Audience:
The seminar is intended for teachers, administrators, and aides that want to get the most out of Read Naturally Software Edition. We recommend that technology coordinators, media specialists, and technology support personnel also attend this seminar.
