Read Naturally is currently looking for qualified individuals for the following positions.

Associate Manager of Curriculum & Professional Development

The following full-time position is located at Read Naturally’s office in St. Paul, MN.  Interested candidates should e-mail a cover letter and resume to kramy@readnaturally.com.

Responsibilities Include:

Professional Development

  • Collaborating in the updating and/or revision of current Read Naturally conference presentations and training seminars
  • Collaborating in the development of new conference presentations and training seminars to support research-based practices and/or new curriculum developed by Read Naturally
  • Providing educational leadership — staying current with relevant research and trends
  • Ensuring quality and accuracy as an educational editor for presentations
  • Supporting the development of Read Naturally presenters
  • Occasionally presenting at some conferences and seminars 

School/Administrator/Teacher support

  • Consulting with teachers/administrators regarding their use and understanding of Read Naturally products — responding to more complex questions via phone and/or e-mail
  • Representing teachers’/administrators’ perspective to other departments within Read Naturally in terms of how programs and assessments fit within the context of school/district needs
  • Identifying topics and providing content for Read Naturally newsletters
  • Providing an educational edit of content in marketing documents

Curriculum

  • Collaborating in the development of new research-based curriculum
  • Assisting with educational edit of content

Competencies the Candidate Should Possess:

  • Extensive experience in initiating and developing presentations for educational conferences, seminars, and/or trainings
  • Broad experience as a presenter and/or trainer at conferences, seminars, and district-level workshops
  • Strong writing skills that show high attention to detail
  • Current knowledge of reading research
  • A deep knowledge of reading development, reading processes, techniques, and programs for teaching reading to students who struggle to read at grade level
  • Teaching experience in the areas of reading and/or special education
  • Knowledge of the Read Naturally strategy, a plus
